Theres This Girl,
I Once Knew.
She Was So, So Lucky.
She Was Confident, And Shy.
She Was Beautiful, And Modest.
She Was Your Best Friend, And Your Shoulder To Lean On.
This Girl Had Everything In Front Of Her,
She Was Doing Everything Right.
She Smiled At All The Right Jokes,
She Said All The Right Things
And She Always Knew What To Do.
Her Eyes, They Sparkled.
Her Hair, It Shined.
Her Laugh, It Bubbled.
Her Smile, Always True.
I Cant Help, But Hate This Girl.
She Had Everything,
And Let Everything Slip Past Her.
Here She Is Today,
Her Eyes Haven't Sparkled In Forever.
Her Hair Dyed A Dark Shade Of Dispair.
Her Laugh Falls Flat.
Her Smile, Always Forced.
She Had Everything,
But Everything Just Meant She Had So Much To Lose.

Where She's Not
She's not at the bottom of my cereal bowl
But I'll eat it all the same
Just because I get to think of her
And the way she smelled of sugar
She's not between the pages of this book
But I'll read it all the same
Just because I get to imagine her
And the way she was always my hero
She's not along this sunny street
But I'll walk it all the same
Just because I get to feel her
And the way she was warm, like summer
She's not in the spaces between the stars
But I'll gaze all the same
Just because I get to see her
And the way her eyes crinkled when she smiled
I always loved her smile.
I won't find her in these distractions
But I'll s

Craving Kisses
I can feel it you know, my deepest desire.
I feel your lips on mine, can still smell you in my mind.
I feel our hands intertwined, fingers lacing together.
I see your eyes, can imagine you standing next to me.
I long to hear words I've been waiting on for months,
Even just to hear your voice would be heaven.
And to be close to you would be bliss- no matter how long it lasted.
Silence is often loud- this silence between us is causing me to scream.
I long for you, I wish to see you.
I pray that soon I'll get to hear those fateful words.
I wonder if you too want all this, if I mean as much to you as you do to me.
But for no

I DON'T BECAUSE...
I don't start conversations
because I feel like I'm being annoying.
I feel like I'm being clingy and desperate
and that no one will care,
but rather look for an escape route.
I don't walk up to people
because I feel like I'm being intrusive.
I wasn't invited, so what right do I have to approach them
and try to mingle?
I don't say much
because I don't feel right
burdening other people with my thoughts
or my problems.
They're mine; I should suffer them alone.
I don't ask for anything
because I feel like I'm being needy.
Others shouldn't have to provide for me,
even when I cannot provide for myself.
I should be able to take car

This is a wonderful piece. I love the line "Her Hair Dyed A Dark Shade Of Dispair" and the ending is really strong
